What happened to the SparCC github repository?
There was a previous post here about 2 years old asking a similar question but it looks like no solution was given other than to use a slightly different program.
But what happened to SparCC and why is its github completely gone? Because of that I cannot even find the authors to contact them.

There's SparCC for Python3:
From the other page you don't link to, which I assume is here you can see that it was a bitbucket repository, and that truncating the URL you can see there is at least one are repo by that person that still exists and importantly a person's name is shown on the left that you could contact - Yonatan Friedman.
If you search that name, you see an email on the lab page of yonatan.friedman at mail.huji.ac.il , see here.
Not sure which SparCC you are referring to but there is this: https://github.com/bio-developer/sparcc
