Blog: IGV Gene function from GFF3 files
Hi, I'm using IGV to walk trought GFF3 Gene file from strawberry and I was wondering how can I find gene function? I have a strange name like Fxa5Bg123456 and a position but that name doesn't return anything on the web and I can't find what it does in the strawberry.

how about grep-ping the gff3 file for Fxa5Bg123456 and see if there is another information available ?
I found out that on rosebreed website you are able to see gene. They have different name but position are the same and i'm gonna find how to find function.
