merge two cytoscape networks

Hi everyone, I have two cytoscape interaction networks I am merging (v3.9.0 on Mac). My goal is to see which nodes are unique to one particular network, knowing that many nodes are found in both networks. I thought that the merge, "difference" option in cytoscape would work for that, but I am finding nodes present in both my networks still being displayed in the merged "difference" network. The "overlapping" option seemed to function as expected, displaying nodes that are common to both networks. There is limited explanation in the cytoscape manual, so any help would be appreciated! Thanks.

nodes cytoscape merge string network

Greetings,

The "difference" option should certainly do what you want, depending on what you've selected as your merge keys. Can you provide a bit more information about what options you've chosen and what nodes showed up in both networks?
