Hello everyone Can anyone tell that how p53 mutation and overexpression is calculated for survival analysis in tcga data..

I actually think that the mechanism for cancerogenesis is loss-of-function of TP53 which leads to decreased, not over- expression.

yes but extent of p53 mutation is different in different types of cancer, thats why some cancers are P53-wildtype cancers (where its expression is higher) while some are P53-mutated cancers (where its expression is lower)
