Pubmed Duplicated Articles
Hi,
I've just downloaded from pubmed all articles inserted in pubmed from 2012/01/01 to 2012/12/31 using pubmed eutils. I saved all this datas in a db, but some articles are duplicated.
No elaboration is done with that articles, so i think that there's something wrong with pubmed eutils. I checked pubmed esearch, but the problem is not there.
The duplicated articles, sometimes have different entrez data, and other times changes also the abstract.
Does anyone know the reason?

show us the PMIDs.
for example these articles are repeated more than two times:
but other articles, like these are repeated only two times:
see bottom of http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19997612 : "Update of http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20029614"
ok, so this is because a version update, in fact it has a PMID version > 1. But I can't understand why other articles are duplicated. I did a new research and i got a different set of duplicated articles ( except for articles with PMID >1)
