How To Retrieve An Ancestral Sequences In A Phylogenetic Tree?
Hi,
Is it possible to retrieve sequence of a node (ancestor) from the respective taxa in a phylogenetic tree? Let's make it clear this way: for example, I have 6 different taxa which, were derived from a single node in a rooted phylogenetic tree. As, I already know the sequences of the taxa(s) but would like to know the sequence of that node from where those taxa(s) arose. How to retrieve the ancestral sequence from its consecutive sequences? Thanks a lot!
