We are currently seeking a Senior Analyst for our Client that has a next generation sequencing laboratory in Northern NJ.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Analysis and interpretation of sequencing data from clinical patients
• Management of bioinformatics and work-flow processes
• Assisting in scaling up of the next gen aboratoory
• Implementation of improvements to laboratory operations

The successful candidate must have a PhD with a molecular genetics background, plus 2 years of relevant work experience. Previous experience in a CLIA-certified lab is preferred but not necessary. Attention to detail and accuracy is critical.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree or PhD in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, or related field plus 2-3 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge in Human Genetics and Bioinformatics
• Familiarity with human mutation databases, genome browsers, literature searches, data reviews, and HGVS nomenclature.
• Expertise in sequencing data analysis (capillary and Next Generation) and PCR primer design.
