There's Biology Stack Exchange. However, your question is not related to a bioinformatics problem, so it will have to be closed.
You might get a less chilly response, and your post might stay open if you were to ask it in the forum, rather than in this main question section. It also helps to make some direct comment linking your interest in a biology forum to bioinformatics (believe me, nothing is too obvious).
