I don't know if this is specifically the place to post this problem, as it's definitely not really a bioinformatics issue, but I've become a bit desperate. During RTA after a run is complete, analysis stops after about 55-56 cycles (there should be 58 total). Apparently the files exist locally, but when they are uploaded to our lab's server we get errors indicating that RTA is unable to 'delete file becuase file is in use". This has been a reoccuring problem, and we've called illumina for help multiple times but to no avail. Apparently when trying to transfer the .cif files and basecall files to the server, the local files are usually deleted, but this can't be done since the transfer doesn't have permission to complete. Our IT guys have checked and the permissions are completely open and there is also no software running that could potentially be accessing the particular directory. Additionally, once the server is restarted and RTA is restarted, it runs perfectly smooth all the way through, until we have to run RTA again.
I was wondering if anyone had this particular issue (or any similar server issues in general), and could be of any help. If anyone needs me to post error logs or any particular information also, please let me know.
