Chains And Nets Alignments?

I did a pairwise alignment for a pair of organisms using the blastzChainNet pipeline from the UCSC.As the output got the chain and net files as the output. However can anybody(who has already worked with these chain/Nets files) help me understand the output. I mean what do the chain score or net score imply??
