How To Validate A Translocation Has Happened By Computing

Recently, I am calling translocations from the whole genome sequencing data by using DELLY. But it reports many results, so How to validate a translocation has happened by computing. Does anyone have a good idea?thanks !

If you want a second computational method for this, BreakDancer calls structural variations like translocations. But depending what you want to do with this knowledge, at some point you probably should prove it with a karyotype and some FISH probes.

Perhaps you could do a de novo assembly and see which of your predicted translocations are present in the assembly.
