Our site would greatly benefit from having a series of Tutorial level posts that contain lists of recommended review papers for various domains of bioinformatics

A Table of Contents has been created to these posts.

• SNP and genotype calling
• Sequencing technology
• Metagenomics
• RNA-seq
• Genome Assembly
• Chip-Seq
• miRNA analysis etc

I think it would be best if we had a separate post for each of these domains rather than combining them. We'll come up with a unified naming later as well. Feel free to suggest some naming schemes here.

Ideally each paper would be accompanied by a small blurb (perhaps the paper reviews just a few approaches) - but don't worry too much about that - moderators can add these later. Followup answers containing relevant papers would then be merged into the main post.

Please feel free to go ahead and start a new top-level post or contribute to an existing thread. Thanks everyone!
