Ok, my BIOSTAR TZ77B motherboard was workin fine when I had my Celeron G530 CPU installed. Then I bought a used i7 2600k Sandy Bridge cpu at a small local computer shop & the PC wouldn't even post. I hit power, it flashed on for a split second, & would immediatly turn off. I used the motherboard jumpers to clear the cmos or whatever & still couldn't get it to boot. I returned the i7 2600k & got a used i7 2700k cpu. Got home & the computer does the same thing. I updated the bios a week before I did the upgrade, & it was workin fine, so I doubt its the bios. I asked the store manager if he was sure that it was working before hand & he said yes, but who knows if that's the truth. The motherboard will post with the cpu taken out. But won't stay on when the cpu is installed. I thought it to be unlikely that I happened to purchase 2 bad cpus. I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on this before I RMA the cpu through Intel. Thanks!
