expression density plot

I did geo2r analysis for gse5850. The control curve and test curve overlapped in expression density plot after normalisation. Could anyone explain why does it happen?

It's a widely-used plot in statistics and data science. It therefore no longer needs any citation. There may exist a citation going back to the 1800s, if you want to check. Otherwise, please just search via your search engine and you will find many dozens of articles that explain what is a density plot.

When looking at the global expression profile, it is normal —and should be expected— that the density curves between groups will overlap. Why should they differ?
