I want to do nr blast using my PC 8GB RAM, i5 processor, 512GB disk space. What is the best way to do nr blast.?

using a HPC system or buffed up compute server I'm afraid ... (simply storing the nr DB will take up roughly half your HD size)

alternatively: use the NCBI remote blast option.
