Identification and annotation of transposable elements in genomes
Can someone please clarify to me, I am confused when it comes to transposable elements identification and annotation in genomes. The identification step, i am thinking it involves identification of the elements in the genomes, what about the annotation step? what is being done.Thank you in advance!
