Error downloading streams from SRA-ncbi when running fastq-dump
Hello everyone, I'm a bioinformatics student. I'm currently trying to download raw sequences from NCBI, but this message comes out: Failed to call external services, at the time of executing the command fastq-dump -I --split-files. It's not ubuntu, it's by virtual machine I don't it's a problem of conection to the internet. Please could someone help me. Thanks.

Instead of using
fastq-dumpyou could try sra-explorer and get the links to download the fastq files.Try Aspera secure copy.
