Weights in normalizeCyclicLoess (Limma, R)

In the normalizeCyclicLoess function of Lima there is the weights option (standard: weights = NULL) and I am trying to figure out what to do with it. I guess that I can tell the fact about the groupings here? but im not sure and I can't find anything about it online so maybe this amazing community here can help out? Would appreciate it a lot! Thanks, Sebastian
