miRDeep2 stops at 'excising precursors' step..

I'm running miRDeep2 to predict novel miRNAs. I ran the mapper.pl script, but the following miRDeep2.pl script stops at 'excising precursors' step without displaying any error messages. I don't know what seems to be the problem, I changed the -g option to 1, but still it didn't work, can someone help? Thanks in advance.

Have you considered running each part separately? It might help you pinpoint which step is causing trouble.

Thank you fro your answer. Yes. First, I ran the mapper.pl script and got the output. As a next step, I ran miRDeep2.pl which ended up with the above-mentioned issue.
