Hi, I need to get a DNA (no mRNA) sequence of that gene: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/gene/6271 And when I download fasta, I got totaly different sequence than from ensembl: https://www.ensembl.org/Homo_sapiens/Gene/Sequence?db=core;g=ENSG00000160678;r=1:153627926-153632039
I see they has different positions of sequence, but there should include part of common region.
Can someone explain me patient why is a different and which one file will be correct whole DNA sequence for that gene? And how can I recognize that is mRNA or DNA having only a files without headers?

Just encountered this answer form ReserchGate while looking for an answer by myself.

In short, different transcripts will have different starting exons, so you can focus your research depending on your transcript accordingly.
Hope it helps.
