Problem in matching "days_to_last_followup" to the sample IDs in TCGA clinical files

Dear all,

I want to specify followup samples for each individual patients in TCGA data.

However TCGA sample IDs are unique and I don't know how I can find samples belong to the same patient.

Can you guide my how I can do this task?

I appreciate any help

Hey friend. Please confirm the IDs that you currently have, and which IDs you would like to obtain? (please paste some examples).

Hi Kevin! From the column " days to last follow up" , I concluded that there are more than one sample for each patient and these samples have been gathered during following up of that patient.

However I could not find out samples belong to same patient.

How I can identify samples collected during following up of the same patient?
