MERLIN: MIBD estimation
Hi,
I have doubts about how I should estimate the Multipoint Identity By Descent using MERLIN.
How many SNP should I analyse per window? In other words, How can I determine the lengths of the locations (in Cm) I analyze?
Which threshold of LD do you recommend between SNP?
I have "large" pedigrees. The bigger one, in terms of MERLIN, occupies 65 bits (individuals). Should I use MERLIN or do you recommend another software? (Most of the pedigrees are +- 30 individuals).
Could anyone give me a hand?
