merging smaller contigs to longer

Hi, I am currently working on 10x longranger, trying to build a reference genome for Tassmannian devil, I need to have longer contigs for longranger wgs to work. could some suggest any tool or a method where I can combine smaller contigs to longer contig seperated by N's.
