Hello Friends, I am new in the gene expression data analysis.I am trying to analyze the micro-array gene expression data for breast cancer. using GEO2R tool I got the list of Deferentially expressed gene. Now what i have observed is that for some probe id there are multiple gene for example for probe id 209905_at corresponding gene symbols are HOXA10-HOXA9///MIR196B///HOXA9. Now I am not able to understand how to consider the expression for these gene,I mean should we consider each gene individual or what ? Please help me to clear my doubt. I will be very grateful.

The probe overlaps the HOXA9 gene body; however, there is a transcript in the region that 'runs through' HOXA10, MIR196B, and HOXA9; hence, the annotation.
This is elaborated in the UCSC Genome Browser:

Just go to your own UCSC session and search for the Affymetrix probe ID - these are in the UCSC database.
