Ensembl release 96 and 95

Dear Friends,

I want to understand what does it mean by Ensembl release such as Ensemble release 96 and 95? Can you please guide me to a relevant source? Are these release related to GRch38 and Grch37?

No. Ensembl releases happen regularly. They are unrelated to human genome builds. You can check information about release cycles here (site appears to be misbehaving at the moment).

Thanks @genomax. It clarifies my doubt. I am following this tutorial http://asia.ensembl.org/info/docs/api/core/core_tutorial.html#coordinates

to convert the coordinates from grch38 to grch37 for chromosome 7 from 10000 to 20000. But, having difficulty in understanding the concept of how to do this using transform() and transfer() mentioned in the tutorial. Any suggestions?
