Recurrent mutation query

I am having a recurrent mutation in an autosomal recessive family. I want to publish my data with additional bioinformatics details which earlier report has not published. Is it a good idea to publish it in a journal or as a book chapter????

If this is an interesting unknown fact try to send it to some scientific journal as an article. Books rarely publish some very recent discoveries. And it will take some time to find the unpublished book that corresponds to your chapter...

Does your analysis has any biological relevance, so any analysis on the mutation that further characterizes it beyond being recurrent? Recurrence is not necessarily a sign of an interesting biological feature but can also be an artifact or a common polymorphism inherited in the family. Please share some more details.
