Question: Unable to install XLconnect package in R studio version 3.2.1

Hi,

I am new to R and getting the following error while running library(XLConnect) command although the packages "XLConnectJars" and "rJava" were successfully installed. Kindly help.

Loading required package: XLConnectJars Error: package or namespace load failed for ‘XLConnectJars’: .onLoad failed in loadNamespace() for 'rJava', details: call: fun(libname, pkgname) error: JAVA_HOME cannot be determined from the Registry Error: package ‘XLConnectJars’ could not be loaded

This is not a bioinformatics question and will likely be closed. This error is often caused by a mismatch between R and the Java version available (or Java is not installed). See this web page.
