Draft Genome from Parents

Hello all - I was wondering if it is possible to generate an assembled genome using the parental information. Specifically, I am working in plants and was hoping to be able to infer the genome of a progeny given that we have assemblies of the parental lines. I have been unsuccessful in finding a solution on my own. Thank you!

assembly

It is not clear what data you have. You have assembled genomes from both parents, what is the quality of those assemblies? Is it at chromosome level? Both parents are the same species, or different species? They have the same number of chromosomes? Did you perform any progeny sequencing?
