What does "." mean in transcript ID?
Hi, everyone.
I have transcript IDs as below, what does . mean? Are these two ID are same?
ENST00000318325.6
ENST00000318325.2

In some cases it might also point to isoforms of a specific gene. But that's not gonna be the case here I think
EDIT: after consulting people from Ensembl it turns out my comment above is not holding true for the emsembl IDs, so can safely be ignored in this specific case!

Those numbers after the '.' indicate the transcript version, see also https://m.ensembl.org/info/genome/stable_ids/index.html
