Job: Bioinformatics postdoc - UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland, California

A postdoctoral position is available on an ongoing NIH-funded project to examine disease pathways in rheumatoid arthritis (RA). The successful candidate is expected to take a lead role in bioinformatics and statistical analyses of RNA-seq data (coding and long non-coding RNAs) from multiple data points before, during and after pregnancy to assess how changes in gene expression could be influencing the disease, and to understand why RA improves naturally during pregnancy.

Qualifications:

Applicants should have a Ph.D. in bioinformatics, computational biology, statistics or similar field, and must be proficient in statistical and scripting programming languages such as R. Prior experience in analyses of RNA-seq data and/or other omics data is a plus.
