Is checking a variant in dbDNV enough to assure it is not in a duplicated gene?
Hi Everyone
I have an interesting variant with coverage 15-20 in samples, this low coverage is explained by high GC content in the region. I just wanted to make sure the variant's gene is not a duplicated gene, I just checked dbDNV [https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21097891], and the gene has no duplicated loci or DNV. What else you usually do to check this point; duplicated genes?
Thanks a lot
