Fungal genome annotation with or without RNA seq data
Hi,
I have been looking to use Maker 2 for eukaryotic genome annotation. I am a little lost on if I need to provide rna seq/EST data in order for the annotation to work? I do not have this data, unfortunately.

RNAseq / EST data from the same species will improve the quality of the annotation. You can use EST / transcripts / protein from other - better if closely related - species.
