News: Workstations Built For Bioinformatics

Hello everyone,

A colleague of mine recently launched a laptop and mini PC business with full support for elementary OS (based on Ubuntu Linux) as the preinstalled operating system. It has been designed for new and experienced bioinformatic Linux users in mind, providing faster speeds and a large amount of storage to feel comfortable to conduct data analysis on.

All of Juno computers come with our in-house app 'Kronos'. This application allows you to install commercial apps such as Google Chrome, Dropbox, Skype, Spotify, all in one easy click. More importantly, it supports all the common Bioinformatics applications, such as BioPerl and Bioconductor.

Finally, a unique feature of our computers is that they are very portable and lightweight, making bioinformatic analysis possible anywhere!

Generally Biostars does not have/allow postings related to commercial interests (with exception of training workshops). @Istvan, when he gets around to looking at this post, may decide to remove the links you have in the original post.

I am not sure if this company still handles advertising on Biostars (Commercial advertising on Biostars ) but you could consider them to put proper advertisements for this business on Biostars.

The link posted does not have any direct reference to bioinformatics applications even though the original post appears to indicate so.

I do apologise. This is a genuine solution for bioinformatics users. I apologise for making it look like spam
