Hello all,

Recently, ONT introduced 1D^2 sequencing kit. I was wondering if someone has tried it. I want to know how different the fastq files look? Do we get 2 fastq files per sample (one per strand)? or it is one long file with improved accuracy?

TIA

I guess SEQanswers or ONT-community would be a better place for this question. You could also try Twitter!

They've had 2D for a long time. By the time you got to FASTQs, it was indistinguishable from 1D (unless you specifically split template and complement strands). I assume the output would be similar for 1D^2.

yes. I haven't seen ow the output from 2D looks like. Hence, I am confused. I have only seen how the output from 1D looks like.
