common genes between DMRs and DEGs

Hi

I have found differential methylated regions(DMRs) between two samples, I am interested to confirm methylated genes with the change in their expression , in my experiment the expression of genes are not available, then i have downloaded data with this type of disease from GEO and found differential expressed genes(DEGs) but when i compared these two lists(DEGs, DMRs) there was not any common genes. How can i solve this problem?

check if those DMRs are located in enhancer regions for the DEGs genes (which could be targets of those enhancers)
