Hi, I am a new guy to use HMMER, but I have been stuck at installation for a week...
Now, I have a problem that I keep failing at "make check"

make[2]: ./../devkit/sqc: Command not found
make[2]: *** [Makefile:34: check] Error 12
make[2]: Leaving directory '/home/user/hmmer-3.1b2-cygwin64/easel/testsuite'7
make[1]: *** [Makefile:370: check] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory '/home/user/hmmer-3.1b2-cygwin64/easel'
make: *** [Makefile:129: check] Error 2

What can I do to fix it...

(I used cygwin and follow the videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=1&v=MBtbgZ7OmNM to install,. I have successfully installed it, but I can't run any commands or functions, so I decided to re-install it ...)

If you have Win10, I believe you can install "bash on ubuntu on windows". Your chances of managing to install will be better, as your chances of getting help in case you get stuck.

I had suggested that yesterday (C: Problem in execution of the commands in HMMER ).
weiyuanchen2015 : You should spend some time here to understand how Unix works. We again recommend that you consider using unix on windows.

Thank you, everyone

1.I found the user guide that the "make check" is not essential 2.now I found the way to communicate with the program, at least I can run the tutorial well...
