Calculating direction of beta stand
Is there a way to determine the direction of a beta stand? I know that it is possible because pymol shows the direction of each beta strand by putting an arrow head on the end of the strand. I just can't figure out how it does it. Thanks!

I believe the direction is just going from the N-terminus to C-terminus of the protein. It's helpful when interpreting different beta sheet motifs.
