Hello dear Biostars community,

I would like to use CRAVAT(https://www.cravat.us/) tools VEST and CHASM for somatic functional annotation but I can't figure out the difference between the two tools. Both of the tools uses a machine learning method and I know that VEST include also indels (which CHASM doesn't when looking at CHASM gene p-value). Other than that, I can't really tell any more differences.

Is it possible to have a clear explanation and the use between the two tools ? Is CHASM more adapt to single mutations and VEST more to indels ?

Thanks in advance.
