Which is most reliable free ware chromatogram viewer?
Dear all I sequenced my gene and I received my sequenced data in abi formate. Now there are a large number of chromatogram viewer. Any one suggest please such a tool that not only find mutations in a sequence but also Amino acid change with position.

Not sure if most reliable but they are both free novoSNP or GeneScreen.
I like using benchling. You can paste in your expected sequence, then align any number of .abi files to it. I typically use the MAFFT option, but increase the refinement iterations to 10.
Not suitable for batch processing, but if you just have a few genes, it's a nice option.
