Read Merging Options
Hello,
I was wondering which software solution everyone is using to merge forward and reverse strands into one strand. PandaSeq (PAired-eND Assembler for DNA sequences) seems to be one option.

I recommend BBMerge from BBMap suite. There is also FLASH, fastq-join from EA utils etc.
Small nitpick. What you are describing is read merging, not sequence assembly.
