BioPerl instalation problems
Hi,
I am trying to install BioPerl on my closed network computer. I downloaded the zip file, unzipped it and ran
perl Build.PL
but when I tested it, it failed:
./Build test
Files=328, Tests=927, 11 wallclock secs ( 0.80 usr 0.36 sys + 8.22 cusr 1.02 csys = 10.40 CPU) Result: FAIL Failed 327/328 test programs. 0/927 subtests failed.
Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Thanks

Not really without more details, we almost know nothing about your setting, not even OS or BioPerl version! Error messages missing as well. The build command should list the tests that failed, so why not give them? What does closed network computer mean, no internet access? Anyway, I cannot recommend building BioPerl that way, without using cpan, because you are most likely missing some dependencies, which again causes the test errors.
BioPerl has a mailing list, maybe a better place to ask for help about this. And follow Michael Dondrup suggestion and provide more details when you ask there.
