Job: PhD positions in structural and systems biology, EMBL Hamburg, Germany

We are looking for PhD students to join my new group at EMBL Hamburg https://www.embl-hamburg.de/research/unit/kosinski/index.html and the Centre for Structural Systems Biology (CSSB) http://www.cssb-hamburg.de/. The group investigates infection cycles and host-pathogen interactions using computational and experimental approaches

We are currently looking for students to work on developing and application of novel methods for integrative modelling of infection cycles based on systems data, molecular structures and cryo-electron tomograms, discovering new host-pathogen interactions, and integrative modelling macromolecular complexes. A background and/or interest in bioinformatics, structural modelling, programming or systems biology are beneficial. Students will have the opportunity to learn a variety of bioinformatics and modelling tools and gain expertise in the cutting edge field of integrative structure and systems biology. Willingness to work in the wet lab is welcome but not required.

If you interested, please apply through the EMBL International PhD Programme: http://www.embl-hamburg.de/training/eipp/application/ expressing your interest in my group within the application.
