ENCODE DNAse 1 HyperSensitivity Data - Signal of unique reads vs Base Overlap Signal vs Raw Signal

Hi,

I would like to know the difference between base overlap signal, raw signal, signal of unique peaks output types which belong to Encode DNAse 1 bigwigs.

I see that signal of unique reads bigwig file is greater than raw signal file. which confuses me. Shouldn't raw data be larger than a curated data?

Also for the comparison between base overlap signal vs signal of unique reads, if you have some further information could you tell me the difference.

My aim is to get open chromatin regions on the genome. So any comment would be useful for me.

Thanks in advance,

Tunc.
