I am looking for a platform to create a program that gives an interactive display of protein folding. For my own reasons I want to code it from scratch. All I want right now is to assign attractive forces between different components of an initially unfolded protein and then watch the folding simulation...

I have looked through as many programming languages as I can for this task.

"Processing" has been the most promising of them but I can not find a decent example that shows how to display to objects that are attracted to one another.. NOTE: this may be due to the name "Processing" which will retrieve all sorts of useless content when searched...

Does anyone know where the best place would be to begin coding folding simulations? If Processing- could you recommend a library/package?
