WHAT SHOULD I DO NOW...WHAT SHOULD BE THE WORKFLOW?

project title : A functional analysis of selective tissues under
normal and diseased conditions.

Work till done : search and study journals on comparative study of pathway databases. found 5 journals on it.one is latest of 2016. My guide asks me what to do next as there is recent work done on it?..... I haven't find out a way..... what should be the next step or the work flow according to the work done so far and the topic?.......... PLEASE HELP...
