Hi, I am looking for a GTF file (transcriptome) annotation for the crab eating macaque (M. fascicularis) with gene symbols. The one I downloaded from the UCSC table browser is less than 4 MB, and I'm not sure if it's complete or up to date. The one on ensembl appears to be large (ftp://ftp.ensembl.org/pub/pre/gtf/macaca_fascicularis/) but does not contain gene names (i.e. gene symbols, not Ensembl IDs) . I was wondering if any non model organism aficionados might have advice on how to obtain a reliable GTF file.
