Can Methylation From Dna Get Copied To Rna During Transcription?

Methylation on gene-body and 3'UTRs if get copied to mRNA can potentially regulate post-transcription modifications or expression regulation. But not sure if they are maintained after transcription or they get all de-novo methylation.

This doesn't seem related to bioinformatics, you will probably get a better response on a molecular biology Q & A site.

SES is right that this isn't really on topic, but I'd be quite interested in the answer. If you post it somewhere else, could you please include a link to the new question here?

Also, from what I know, mRNA methylation is always post-transcriptional, but I wouldn't call myself an expert on the subject.
