Material for calling in NGS - statistical view

Hi all,

I am preparing a short course on statistical tests for exome analysis (association in NGS) and I'd like to discuss a bit the statistical aspects of the calling - not the pipe-line - and integration of uncertainty in the downstream analyses.

I have already some slides with the "Bayesian Calling" (step by step genotype probability based on reads) and discussions about priors, and I am looking for other material that could be taught ... Do you know any online available material or course ?

Best wishes,

Christian

You can take a look at this paper or applications of sequencing in the coursera.org. To find something that might be useful for you. You can also take a look at this review and then look at the tools used here to refer to their webpages and then show the statistical model used by these tool for calling the variants. Another thing is GATK website has pdf and slides for each modules they use and they are to be read and understood before applying.
