Hello, I would like to divide my chromosomes into two parts (shoulders of chromosomes) and do not take into account centromere region.
How can I find coordinates of centromeres of all chromosomes?
This answer gives a solution only for several chromosomes.

The first answer there gives the exact solution. This file has what you need (The only difference is that I substituted hg19 for hg18)

You don't need to moderate/close your own question, especially when you have accepted an answer.
But it is a clear duplicate. I was working 12 hours in a row and did not notice "head" inside the bash command. This question will not help anybody else, so do not know why not to close it. But you're the boss.

I only thought it unnecessary because the system doesn't bump up answered and accepted posts, so this one would go to the background anyway. Since it also has a duplicate moderation comment, people would know it was a duplicate.
But yes, ideally, we close all duplicates so this one should be closed.
