RLE for 'normalization' of 16S data

Hi, I am trying to normalize my 16S rRNA data by use of the RLE methode. I can calculate the RLE mean (lets say r1, r2 ect) values of the columns, but from there I am lost. Should I just multiply my data by these values in each column; A1*r1, B1*r2 ect ? If I have understood it correctly this should stabilize variance...however the data that I get by doing this have more spred on their variances...

Please, any help
